About GCSESpark
GCSESpark is a GCSE-focused learning companion designed to help students practise, understand, and build confidence with exam-style questions.
Our mission
Our goal is simple: make high-quality, structured revision support available when learners need it — without replacing teachers or classroom learning.
GCSESpark is built for UK GCSE learners (typically Years 10–11) and aims to help students understand topics, practise questions, and improve explanations through guided, step-by-step support.
What GCSESpark does
- Explains GCSE topics clearly, with worked examples where appropriate.
- Generates practice questions and helps students review their answers.
- Supports structured revision through saved sessions and progress context.
- Helps students break down problems and learn the method — not just the final answer.
GCSESpark is designed to support learning and revision. It is not a substitute for teachers, schools, or exam board materials.
Safety and safeguarding
We design GCSESpark with students in mind — including the realities of safeguarding and appropriate use.
- We aim to minimise unsafe or inappropriate outputs and continuously improve our safety posture.
- We encourage academic integrity: use GCSESpark to learn, not to cheat.
- We provide transparency documentation for schools and guardians.
See Safeguarding & Child Safety and AI Transparency for details.
Privacy by design
We only process data needed to run and improve the service, secure accounts, and support learning features. We do not sell personal data.
For the details on what we collect, how we use it, and how long we keep it, see Privacy Notice and Data Retention.
For parents and schools
If you’re a parent/guardian or you’re evaluating GCSESpark for a school or institution, we provide clear documentation for procurement and safeguarding review.
